Bergamasco: Surgery

Italy have been rocked by news Mauro Bergamasco could miss the RBS Six Nations through injury.

Bergamasco, who has been capped 84 times, needs to undergo surgery after damaging his shoulder in training.

The versatile Stade Francais player now faces around four months on the sidelines.

That means Bergamasco is a major doubt for Azzurri's Six Nations opener against Ireland on February 5.
