Allen: cover for Waldouck
England have drafted Leicester centre Anthony Allen into their squad ahead of Saturday's game against Samoa at Twickenham.
The 24-year-old has been called up as cover for Wasps' Dominic Waldouck, who sustained a blow to the face against Bath in yesterday's LV= Cup game.
Allen won two caps for his country back in 2006 when he faced New Zealand and Argentina, but has not featured for the national side since.
Waldouck is currently being assessed by medical staff, while Wasps team-mate Riki Flutey is making good progress in his recovery from a calf problem.
Flutey picked up the injury playing in Wasps' Aviva Premeirship defeat to Northampton last month.
England head into Saturday's Twickenham clash against Samoa - the third of their Investec International series - on a high after their memorable 35-18 victory over Australia last weekend.
