Four players will appear before ERC disciplinary chiefs following the opening round of the Heineken Cup.

Clermont's Jamie Cudmore, Cardiff Blue Martyn Williams, Munster centre Sam Tuitupou and Scarlets back-row Jonny Fa'amatuainu all answer separate charges on Wednesday.

Cudmore is alleged to have kicked and/or stamped on Saracens flanker Jacques Burger, while Williams is accused of dropping a knee into the face of Edinburgh's Chris Paterson.

Fa'amatuainu has been cited for making a dangerous tackle on Perpignan wing Adrien Plante, while Tuitupou faces the same charge following a clash with London Irish scrum-half Paul Hodgson.
