Williams: Could play in Europe

All Blacks lock Ali Williams could be set for a move to Europe in a bid to return to full fitness ahead of the World Cup.

Williams has undergone three operations since rupturing his Achilles back in January - but there is light at the end of the tunnel for the 29-year-old as he is now closing in on a return to action.

However Williams is eyeing up a three-month stint playing in Europe to ensure he is in the best possible shape before returning to the Blues.

Williams told TVNZ: "The purpose for that was to get game time, get rugby, and see if she works. I know in my head it's going to work; it's the power of positive thinking."
