Australia international full-back Cameron Shepherd has signed a new two-year contract with Perth-based Super 15 franchise Western Force.

Shepherd, 26, has played for the Force for five seasons, scoring 337 points including 32 tries.

However, he has been hampered by injuries during the past two years and won the most recent of his nine Test caps for the Wallabies in July 2008.

The Super rugby competition expands to 15 teams to next season with the addition of the Melbourne-based Rebels.
