All Blacks Conrad Smith and Tamati Ellison are set to team up with the Hurricanes for their tour to South Africa.
The Hurricanes crashed to a 28-12 defeat to the Cheetahs last time out - with a trip to Cape Town to tackle the Stormers next up.
And following that first defeat of the season, Smith and Ellison have been flown out to team up with the squad.
Ellison had been sidelined with a damaged shoulder, while Smith missed the game against the Cheetahs with a sprained thumb.
