Visser: Off to Edinburgh
Edinburgh have continued their rebuilding process for next season with the signing of Dutch winger Tim Visser on a two-year deal from Newcastle.
The 22-year-old becomes Edinburgh's sixth signing of the close season - and coach Andy Robinson's first non-Scottish recruit.
Visser, whose father captained the Dutch national team, said: "I felt it was time for a new challenge; the Magners League is a good competition and it is good to see Edinburgh doing so well last season.
"It is a bit of an honour I guess to be Andy's first non-Scottish signing. I'm really looking forward to working with him because he is such a good coach.
"I want to fight my way into the Edinburgh team because I know there are already some good wingers up there right now.
"Hopefully I can establish my name in Scotland and help Edinburgh secure the championship next year."
