Saracens have announced that South African hooker Schalk Brits will play for them next season.
The 27-year-old will join the Guinness Premiership side from Cape Town-based Super 14 outfit The Stormers.
Brits, a Currie Cup regular with Western Province, made his debut for the Springboks as a replacement against Italy last summer, and also featured in the 2008 Tri-Nations against New Zealand and Australia.
Saracens rugby director Brendan Venter said: "Schalk is a world-class player right in his prime, and he has the x-factor that can turn a game in an instant.
"He has fantastic skills, and it is no surprise that many major European clubs have been trying to sign him.
"We are delighted he has chosen to play his rugby at Saracens."
