Schwalger: On the move
Sale Sharks have announced the signings of Samoan international hooker Mahonri Schwalger and utility back Marika Vakacegu.
Mahonri, formerly a member of the Wellington Lions and the Highlanders in Super 12s, has been playing for the Scarlets in the Magners League.
Sale director of rugby Kingsley Jones said: "We needed a solid replacement with Sebastien Bruno leaving the club.
"Mahonri is a similar age to when Bruno joined us and I am sure that he will prove to be an excellent addition to the squad."
Cornish Pirates back Vakacegu has also been signed up at Edgeley Park on a two-year deal and he can play at either full-back, wing or centre.
"Marika has been one of the best players in National One this season and I am sure he can make the step up to the Premiership with us," Kingsley Jones added.
"He can play in various positions which is a big plus in the modern game."
