Prop training with Les Bleus ahead of Scotland showdown

Clermont Auvergne prop Thomas Domingo has been called up to train with the France squad as cover for Lionel Faure. Faure is nursing an injured calf and has not been named in Marc Lievremont's squad for Saturday's RBS Six Nations match against Scotland at the Stade de France. The Sale Sharks prop is officially France's '23rd man' but may not be able to fulfil that role if his calf does not heal. Les Bleus' coaching staff have drafted in Domingo as cover and the Clermont-Auvergne front-row forward will join up with the squad on Thursday. Perpignan centre Maxime Mermoz has already arrived at Marcoussis to bolster France's group in view of the summoning of Florian Fritz's disciplinary hearing. The Toulouse star has been cited for allegedly eye-gouging an unnamed Ireland player during last weekend's match at Croke Park. Should Fritz be sanctioned, Mermoz will be named on the bench for Saturday, with Benoit Baby promoted into the starting XV.
