Tom Varndell has been called up to the England Saxons squad for their upcoming match against Portugal.
England's second string team will face 'The Wolves' on Friday January 30 at Edgeley Park.
The speedy Leicester wing, who has played four times for England, scored two tries on his Welford Road home turf the last time he made an appearance for the Saxons.
He is recalled after Julian White was promoted to the senior England squad as a replacement for the suspended Matt Stevens.
He will join the 21-man training squad that is currently preparing for the Portugal fixture in Stockport.
The 23-year-old will be one of the more experienced players in a squad that features many promising youngsters, including four members of the England under-20 squad that reached the World Cup final.
