Dangerous tackle earns Edinburgh flanker two-week ban
Edinburgh flanker Ross Rennie has received a two-week ban after being cited for a dangerous tackle on Wasps and England wing Paul Sackey.
Rennie, who will miss Sunday's Heineken Cup return fixture against Wasps as a result of his suspension, was reported by match citing commissioner Brian Fowler.
A three-man independent disciplinary committee that convened in Dublin found Rennie guilty of a dangerous tackle, deciding his offence was at the "low-end of the level of seriousness."
The incident happened during Edinburgh's 25-16 Pool Two defeat against Wasps at Murrayfield on December 5.
