Australia have been rocked by injuries to Hugh McMeniman and Peter Kimlin ahead of their tour to Hong Kong and Europe.
The Wallabies are already without Dan Vickerman, James Horwill and Rocky Elsom for the six-match tour - while Lote Tuqiri, Luke Burgess and Wycliff Palu are all fitness doubts.
Now McMeniman and Kimlin will miss the Bledisloe Cup match against New Zealand in Hong Kong and potential the Test against Italy.
McMeniman has rolled his ankle, while Kimlin, who was only called into the squad as a replacement for Horwill, has strained a muscle in his leg.
Australia coach Robbie Deans said: "These things happen when you're pushing the boundaries.
"There will be many challenges coming our way and obviously there will be some attrition and, if there's not, we won't be going hard enough.
"So whoever does get the call-up will be excited about that and it will be a great opportunity for them."
