Gloucester winger signs with London Irish

Former England U21 and England Sevens winger James Bailey has signed a contract with London Irish that will see him head to the Madejski Stadium immediately. Bailey left former club Gloucester in August after failing to renew his contract with the Cherry and Whites. The 25-year-old made 62 Premiership appearances and scored 28 tries during his time at Gloucester and has already played for the England Sevens team. Exiles head coach Toby Booth is pleased with the signing and hopes Bailey can add strength to the wing. Booth said: "The demands on our backs are such that it is essential we have strength in depth in each position. "James is a speedy and versatile winger who creates and uses space well and is an acknowledged try-scorer. "He is a welcome addition to our squad."
