Scotland winger Nikki Walker has been ruled out of their Six Nations finale against Italy due to an ankle injury.

The Ospreys man was due to make his 15th appearance for Scotland in their wooden spoon decider against Italy in Rome on Saturday.

However, an ankle injury flared up in training and soon after Walker was ruled out of the match by Scotland medical staff.

The 25-year-old's replacement for the game at the Stadio Flaminio will be named on Friday.

Coach Frank Hadden has added centres Andrew Henderson and Ben Cairns - of Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh, respectively - to his party to travel to the Italian capital, along with Warriors flanker John Barclay.
