Fletcher delighted as openside extends Kingston Park deal

Newcastle flanker Ben Woods has agreed a new one-year contract that will keep him at Kingston Park until 2009. The England Saxons openside, a product of the club's academy, spent two seasons out with a broken leg before making a successful comeback in 2005. Falcons director of rugby John Fletcher said: "Ben is an outstanding talent. "At 26 he is an integral part of our future plans and we're delighted to have agreed this new deal. "Ben typifies what we stand for at Newcastle - a young English player with a fantastic attitude."
