Skivington: Happy at Wasps

London Wasps have continued their planning for next season by tying George Skivington to a new contact at Adams Park.

The 25-year-old lock has been in fine form this season - clocking up 19 starts and earning a call-up to the England Saxons squad in January.

And he has been rewarded with an improved deal that will keep him at the club he joined from school until 2010.

"I came here straight from school in 2000 and after seven seasons with the club I know Wasps is the place where I can best take my career forward," said Skivington.

"I'm very happy here. The club has brought me on well as a player and, especially in the last year, I feel I've matured a lot as a player and I want to continue to build on that in the coming seasons."

Director of rugby Ian McGeechan added: "We are delighted with the progress that George has made this season, and we see him as an important player for Wasps' future."
