Volley: Cited for an alleged eye gouge

Harlequins flanker Paul Volley has been cited for a possible eye gouge on Stade Français flanker Mauro Bergamasco during last weekend's Heineken Cup match in Paris.

Volley will face a disciplinary committee in Dublin on Wednesday for a hearing, after he was cited by match commissioner Rob Flockhart.

He has officially been cited for alleged contact with the face and eye area - contravention of Law 10.4 (k)

The independent disciplinary cmmittee will be chaired by Professor Lorne Crerar (Scotland) and also comprise John West (Ireland) and Mark McParland (Ireland).
