Saracens have selected South African Neil de Kock as their new team captain.

The Springboks scrum-half made an instant impression last season, following his move from Western Province.

He led by example and was a key figure in helping push Sarries up to fourth in the Guinness Premiership, and qualify for the Heineken Cup.

Former captain Simon Raiwalui moved on earlier in the summer, while De Kock signed a long-term deal at the club.

Former England flanker Richard Hill has been named as club captain meanwhile, and will provide a link between the players and coaches.
