Serge Betsen is set to skipper France in their final World Cup warm-up match against Wales on Sunday.

Coach Bernard Laporte has opted for the Biarritz flanker in the absence of regular skipper Raphael Ibanez and vice-captain Fabien Pelous.

Fly-half Lionel Beauxis also gets a chance to prove himself after missing out on the two wins against world champions England.

The Stade Francais back should get the nod over club colleague David Skrela in the first XV, while Pieter De Villiers will also be eager to get some match practice in.

England's Twickenham tormentor Sebastien Chabal returns from injury, and is expected to partner Lionel Nallet in the second row.

Nicolas Mas will want to celebrate his promotion to become a permanent member of the squad, with a strong performance.

Cedric Heymans looks set to fill in at full-back meanwhile, with Clement Poitrenaud rested for the trip to Cardiff.

The Word Cup hosts begin their campaign against Argentina on September 7, as they look to wrestle the Webb Ellis trophy away from holders England.
