Billy Vunipola will face an RFU disciplinary panel on Tuesday, accused of striking Leicester's Mathew Tait with his head.

The Saracens and England back-row was cited during the Aviva Premiership Round 19 clash with the Tigers at Allianz Park on Saturday - a game the home side won 22-6.

Tigers centre Vereneki Goneva was also cited but will not appear before the panel.

An RFU statement on Vunipola read: The panel of Philip Evans (chair), Bonike Erinle and Martyn Wood will sit at the London Bloomsbury Inn and review the offence of striking Mathew Tait with the head, contrary to Law 10.4 (a), or, in the alternative, charging into a ruck, contrary to Law 10.4 (h).

"The case of Leicester Tigers’ Vereniki Goneva, cited for striking Saracens’ Kelly Brown with his forearm, will be dealt with by the chair via papers only, in agreement with the club and without the player present."
