Stuart Lancaster says he is taking England's Six Nations challenge a game at a time

England coach Stuart Lancaster says his side will be targeting a fourth straight win against Six Nations champions Ireland when they go head-to-head in Dublin on Sunday.

The two nations are the only sides left with 100 per cent records and the victors at the Aviva Stadium, in what is the biggest game of the tournament so far, will be hot favourites to go on to take the championship.

Title-holders Ireland start as marginal favourites to halt English momentum as they seek to march to a 10th consecutive victory since their 13-10 defeat to England in last year's championship.

Joe Schmidt's side have claimed some big scalps along the way, including South Africa and Australia during the Autumn Internationals.

But Lancaster feels his side will have the edge with their last defeat against their opponents coming back in 2011.

We're looking forward to the game, obviously it's going to be a huge occasion and two good teams going up against each other.

"International rugby is about taking chances, it about all the little bits and pieces that put together an international performance," Lancaster told Sky Sports News.

"It's going to be one of those games. They've got a fantastic record at the moment having won the last nine games.

"I think I looked at their side and there's nine British Lions, depending on their starting XV, but probably nine British Lions, which is a big number, so it shows the quality of players they're got.

"They're obviously well coached. You can see that by the way their maul is put together, their defensive system, attacking threat and kicking game. They're a very good team and they are playing great rugby at the moment.

"But we've beaten them the last three times [although] it won't matter [because] it will be the best team on the day that will win.

"We're looking forward to the game, obviously it's going to be a huge occasion and two good teams going up against each other."
