Sale Sharks confirmed a fourth new signing for next season with loosehead prop Darren Fearn joining from Bedford Blues.
The 25-year-old forward moved to Goldington Road from Newcastle Falcons in 2012 and has featured heavily in Bedford’s Championship campaign.
Fearn’s career started at Scarborough and earned England Students caps in 2009 during his time at Northumbria University before making the switch to Kingston Park.
The 6ft 3in prop will be one of four new faces in Sale colours next term and Sharks director of rugby Steve Diamond believes he could play a pivotal in the top flight next season.
"Darren has been playing consistently well for Bedford in the Championship and he has been on our radar for a while,” he told the club’s official website.
“He is a young lad, English and I am sure he will prove to be a valuable member of our squad next season.”
Fearn joins Nathan Hines, Chris Cusiter and Alberto De Marchi on the list of Sharks newcomers for the 2014/15 season.
