Edinburgh boss Alan Solomons has made one change for the 1872 Cup derby against Glasgow at Murrayfield on Boxing Day.
The clash between the sides will host the country's biggest club rugby crowd of the season as the first part of the inter-city double-header kicks off in front of fans seeking season-long bragging rights.
Silverware and vital Pro12 points are the priority for Scotland's top players, who run out with the added incentive of promoting themselves into international contention for the 2014 Six Nations.
The introduction of loosehead prop Wicus Blaauw as a rotated replacement for Alasdair Dickinson is the only change to the Edinburgh side that muscled past Leinster last weekend.
For the Warriors, Stuart Hogg will start at outside centre, partnering Alex Dunbar in a new look midfield.
Sean Maitland will start at full-back, with Tommy Seymour keeping his place on the right wing and DTH van der Merwe returning on the opposite side.
Duncan Weir has been named at fly-half, with Chris Cusiter wearing the No 9 shirt. In the pack Ryan Grant returns at loose-head. Tim Swinson will combine with Tom Ryder in the engine room and in the back-row Rob Harley returns on the blindside, Tyrone Holmes continues at openside and Ryan Wilson keeps his place at No 8.
In other action, Netani Talei returns from his heel injury for the Dragons' derby clash with Cardiff Blues at Rodney Parade.
He is one of the six changes for the hosts. Full-back Daniel Evans retains his place and is joined in the back three by wingers Will Harries and Hallam Amos.
There is one change in the centres with Ashley Smith stepping in at No 12 and Pat Leach remaining at 13. Jason Tovey also keeps his place at stand-off and is joined by Wayne Evans in the halves, as Richie Rees is moved to the bench.
As Owen Evans remains at loosehead prop, there have been two changes to the front row with T Rhys Thomas making his first start after coming back from injury and Nathan Buck coming in as tighthead prop.
There is one change in the back-row as Talei returns to start as blindside flanker and Lewis Evans moves across to the openside.
Meanwhile, centre Gavin Evans returns to the starting line-up for the Blues, one of six changes from the side that were narrowly beaten by Ospreys at the Arms Park last week.
The two other changes in the back division see Dan Fish take a spot on the wing while fly-half Rhys Patchell is back to partner Lloyd Williams in the halves.
Lock Chris Dicomidis is named in the second row, where he will partner Filo Paulo.
Macauley Cook moves into the back row and takes the blindside flanker jersey while the final change for Blues is the recall of Josh Navidi at openside.
Scarlets boss Simon Easterby has made 11 changes to his starting XV for their Boxing Day clash with the Ospreys at Parc y Scarlets.
Two of Easterby's changes are positional when compared to the side that lost to Munster at Musgrave Park last weekend.
Liam Williams and Kristian Phillips make positional changes with Williams moving to full-back in place of Gareth Owen and Phillips changing wings, with Frazier Climo coming in to make up the back three.
An all-new centre partnership sees Wales international Scott Williams pair up with Nic Reynolds with Rhys Priestland and Gareth Davies returning at half backs.
Veteran prop Phil John returns to bolster the front row alongside Welsh internationals Ken Owens and Samson Lee. George Earle links up with Jake Ball at lock with Aaron Shingler returning from injury replacing injured Josh Turnbull.
