Steve Diamond's hearing has been put back
Sale boss Steve Diamond's disciplinary hearing over alleged verbal abuse of match officials has been put back.
The hearing had been due to take place on Tuesday night. No new date has been announced yet and no reason has been given by the RFU for the delay.
Sale's executive director of sport faces two counts of verbally abusing match officials.
He is alleged to have abused referee Wayne Barnes and his assistants Rhys Davies and Gareth Copsey at the end of the 21-19 defeat by London Irish on January 8.
Sale were defeated at the Madejski Stadium after Barnes awarded the Exiles a late penalty for a Sale scrum offence that was kicked by Adrian Jarvis.
The RFU charged Diamond under its rule 5.12, which covers "conduct prejudicial to the interests of the Union and/or game".
A touchline ban and/or a fine are possible punishments if Diamond is found guilty.
