Bastareaud: Two tries
The opening salvos have been fired in this year's RBS Six Nations - with England, Ireland and France able to look back on a good weekend's work.
Defending champions Ireland dug in to grind out a victory over Italy, England showed much-needed signs of improvement by toppling Wales and France dominated up front to silence Scotland.
But as well as the results, there were a number of sensational individual displays to have pleased the respective coaches - plus one or two performances that will have earned the hairdryer treatment.
As a result, Skysports.com names its team of the weekend - so feel free to let us know your views via the form below...
15 Clement Poitrenaud (France)
A solid shift from the French full-back, including the crucial tackle on Hugo Southwell when the Scottish winger had jinked through in the second half.
14 Andrew Trimble (Ireland)
The Ulsterman had a hand in the first Ireland try and will have been happy with his own afternoon's work at Croke Park.
13 James Hook (Wales)
Showed exactly why he must be picked - in whatever position - with a superb display. Thoroughly deserved his try.
12 Mathieu Bastareaud (France)
The cannon ball centre achieved some redemption with two tries in the first half and he remained a threat throughout.
11 Sean Lamont (Scotland)
One of the few Scots to shine a Murrayfield, Lamont was electric in attack and superb in defence.
10 Ronan O'Gara (Ireland)
With Jonathan Sexton breathing heavily down his neck, O'Gara rose to the challenge with a near-faultless performance.
9 Danny Care (England)
Given the licence to attack, Care made the most of the opportunity, with his sniping runs keeping Wales on the back foot.
1 Cian Healy (Ireland)
Italy had targeted Healy as a weak link in the front row battle, however it was the Irish prop who came out on top as he silenced Martin Castrogiovanni.
2 William Servat (France)
The French hooker was two-thirds of an awesome front row display that took Scotland apart at Murrayfield, particularly in the first half.
3 Nicolas Mas (France)
The Perpignan skipper was born to scrum - and how he will have enjoyed his afternoon's work as the Scotland pack crumpled under the constant pressure.
4 Leo Cullen (Ireland)
The unsung hero of Ireland's victory as he frustrated the Italian lineout and provided plenty of 'grunt' in the scrum.
5 Steve Borthwick (England)
Much maligned in recent months, Borthwick will have done plenty to silence his critics - with his steals at the lineout, in particular, giving his side a crucial platform.
6 James Haskell (England)
Finally starting to live up to his early potential, Haskell topped a first-class all-round performance with two tries.
7 David Wallace (Ireland)
The human dynamo covered every blade of grass at Croke Park - with his energy and work-rate rightly earned his the RBS Six Nations man-of-the-match award.
8 Imanol Harinordoquy (France)
The France No.8 didn't put foot wrong all day at Murrayfield as he ran hard and tackled even harder.
