Glasgow returned to the top of the PRO12 as they overwhelmed bottom-of-the-table Zebre 26-5 on Friday.
DTH van der Merwe scored two tries en route to the one-sided victory while Chris Fusaro and Kevin Bryce also contributed tries. Peter Horne kicked two conversions and Connor Braid added another for Glasgow as they secured a bonus point.
Dion Berryman's try in the 58th minute was Zebre's only score of the match during a second-half downpour that dampened the flow of proceedings.
By then, Glasgow had already sewn up a bonus point and were well on the way to victory as Van der Merwe notched his second try moments before half-time. Fusaro and Bryce were already on the scoresheet by the break meaning Glasgow were able to coast in the second period.
Niko Matawalu and Rossouw de Klerk's work led to Van der Merwe's first try and Fusaro forced a rolling maul over the line, earning the score after consultation with the television official. Bryce powerfully ran through Zebre to add his try to the mix.
Zebre's frustrations were evident as Alberto Chillo, Matteo Pratichetti and Mauro Bergamasco were sin-binned in the opening 40 minutes.
Brendon Leonard's introduction added some quality for Zebre and a grubber kick led to their only points through Berryman, shortly after Bergamasco had missed a penalty.
Glasgow, in the searing rain, took their foot of the pedal in the second period with Ryan Grant, Rossouw de Klerk and captain Al Kellock being withdrawn for a breather.
Munster and Ulster will both have the opportunity to overtake Glasgow this weekend.
