Ulster v Munster: Guinness PRO12 preview
Last Updated: 09/05/15 3:20pm
Ulster will put their perfect home record on the line when they face Munster in Saturday’s crucial Guinness PRO12 clash at Kingspan Stadium.
The Ulstermen have won all 10 of their games in Belfast this season and victory over their provincial rivals will put them in pole position for a home play-off spot.
However, Munster boast the best away record in the PRO12, picking up 30 points on the road, and they have lost just one of their five games against fellow Irish provinces this season.
Munster head coach Anthony Foley makes three changes to his starting line-up, with Donnacha Ryan set to partner Paul O’Connell in the second row for the first time since December 2013.
Argentina hooker Eusebio Guinazu trades places with Duncan Casey, while Denis Hurley is the only change to the backline as he joins Andrew Smith in midfield.
Roger Wilson will become Ulster’s most capped PRO12 player on Saturday when he makes his 132nd appearance, overtaking Paddy Wallace.
There is just one change to the team that ended Leinster’s play-off hopes a fortnight ago. Craig Gilroy picked up a hamstring injury in training this week and is replaced on the left wing by Peter Nelson.
Lock Dan Tuohy will make his 90th Ulster appearance while the in-form Iain Henderson, who scored a try in a man-of-the-match performance against Leinster, continues at blindside flanker.
