McKenzie has decided to ring the changes following The Reds 24-6 defeat to the Brumbies last week, and is hoping for a more positive result this time out at Suncorp Stadium.
Youngster Chris Feauai-Sautia has earned an opportunity at outside centre, replacing Aidan Toua in the No 13 jersey - the young flyer having featured in three straight matches following an off-season rehabilitating his hamstring.
Rob Simmons - who will play his milestone 50th game for Queensland - will be joined in the second row by lock Ed O'Donoghue who comes in for Adam Wallace-Harrison. Anthony Faingaa has also been ruled out through injury.
Debut
Waratahs head coach Michael Cheika will take charge for the first time as his new side take on arch-rivals Queensland.
Cheika will hand Israel Foloa his Super Rugby debut when he pulls on the No 15 jersey, and in-form youngster Tom Kingston earns a spot on the left wing alongside him. Wallaby Drew Mitchell completes the back three.
Fly-half Bernard Foley has recovered from an ankle injury to feature in a backline that also includes Adam Ashley-Cooper and Tom Carter. Dave Dennis skippers the side for the first time.
Up front, prop Jeremy Tilse earns his maiden Super Rugby start, completing an otherwise all-Wallaby pack hoping to get the 'Tahs off to the best possible start to their campaign.
