Widdop suffered a suspected dislocated hip
England are waiting on news of Melbourne stand-off Gareth Widdop after he suffered a suspected dislocated hip.
The 24-year-old fell awkwardly when tackled during the Storm's 18-12 defeat by Gold Coast Titans and was rushed to hospital.
It all happened in front of England coach Steve McNamara, who was at Skilled Park as part of his trip to Australia to check on the fitness and form of his NRL-based players.
Melbourne coach Craig Bellamy said: "He's got a dislocated hip so it's not good news.
"He's in a lot of pain. Hopefully it's a clean dislocation and no fractures. That will determine how long he's going to be out. The boys are really feeling for him at the moment."
Widdop has eight England caps to his name since making his debut against France at Leigh three years ago.
