Leeds Rhinos captain Kevin Sinfield admits he made a mistake in headbutting Luke Dorn and is focused on returning from the resulting suspension.
The 33-year-old was sent off for the incident during Leeds' 24-24 draw with Castleford on July 18 and has been given a two-game ban.
He missed last Friday's 22-18 success over Salford Red Devils and will sit out the visit of West Yorkshire neighbours Bradford Bulls at Headingley.
However, he will be free for the Rhinos' Tetley's Challenge Cup semi-final against Warrington and he is hoping he will be selected by head coach Brian McDermott for the clash on August 9.
Sinfield told Sky Sports: "I know what happened. I'm aware everyone else has made their own opinion and has their own comments about it as well.
"For me, I'm focused on Warrington if selected and what's to come and I've tried to make the best of the last couple of weeks.
"We all get things wrong from time to time. I'm passionate about our club. I'm certainly passionate about our club and I'm passionate about the sport we're playing. Sometimes that spills over and that's life.
"I've made tons of mistakes. If you look through my career there's been adversity and mistakes all through it. This is just another one and I've certainly learned from it."
Sinfield has won six Super League titles with the Rhinos since making his debut in 1996.
