Anderson: Recovering after surgery
Warrington are adamant that Louis Anderson will not play for Tonga in the World Cup, despite being included in their squad.
The 23-year-old was cleared to play for the Tongans after switching his allegiance from New Zealand, for whom he had won 13 caps.
He was then named Tonga by coach Jim Dymock in a 24-man party for the upcoming tournament Down Under .
However, the Wolves insist their player will not take part having undergone surgery on an arm problem in September.
Club coach James Lowes has spoken to Anderson about the situation and confirmed that the former New Zealand Warrior is currently on the road to recovery for the 2009 Super League season.
"I spoke to Louis last night and he confirmed he won't be taking part. He's doesn't know why he's been selected," Lowes said.
"He's currently rehabbing and looking forward to commencing pre-season training with us in November."
