Irish full-back escapes with a warning
Ireland have been given a boost ahead of their semi-final qualifier against Fiji with news that full-back Michael Platt has been cleared to play.
Bradford ace Platt has escaped with a warning from the World Cup match review panel after leading with his legs into an opponent during Wednesday's 34-16 group win over Samoa.
And while Platt is available for selection, Fiji's Iowane Divavesi will miss Monday's game at Gold Coast's Skilled Park after he was handed a two-match ban.
Divavesi has been handed the suspension after deliberately tripping a player during Scotland's 18-16 victory on Wednesday.
The panel also cautioned Scotland forward Ian Henderson following a flare up with Jason Bukuya in the same game.
