Catalan Dragons centre Daryl Millard is the only Super League-based player named in Fiji's initial squad for the World Cup.
Millard, who previously had a spell with Wakefield, is one of seven survivors from the team that reached the semi-finals of the last World Cup in Australia in 2008.
Coach Rick Stone has announced 21 names following a trial match at the weekend and will add three more before the end of the month.
Former Brisbane, Queensland and Australia prop Petero Civoniceva has been appointed as captain, with Wes Naiqama confirmed as vice captain, while the squad includes the three Sims brothers - Korbin, Tariq and Ashton.
Civoniceva, who retired from the NRL a year ago, will face his old Kangaroo team-mates in the second week of the tournament when Fiji come up against Australia at St Helens on Saturday, November 2.
The Bati open their campaign against Ireland at Rochdale five days earlier and meet England at Hull on Saturday, November 9.
