Chris Hill: Hoping to feature for England in Friday's clash against the Exiles
Chris Hill hopes he can make a positive impact for England in Friday's clash with the Exiles and earn a place in their World Cup squad.
The 25-year-old prop took the large step from the part-time to fully-paid ranks in his stride last year when he joined the Wolves from Leigh.
An impressive season - which yielded a Challenge Cup winners' medal and a Grand Final appearance - was underlined by his selection for the Super League Dream Team and England's autumn internationals.
He now looks every inch a Super League player and, having been named in England's squad to face the Exiles, he wants to make the same impact on the international stage.
Hill said of his selection: "It's a real honour. I didn't play in the Exiles game last year but had a taste of it at the back end of last year and it was really good, against Wales and France.
"It will be really tough against the Exiles but I am really looking forward to it - if selected in the 17 - and putting a marker down for the World Cup."
Despite that, Hill does not want to look too far ahead yet, knowing with Warrington targeting double glory, he has plenty of immediate concerns.
He said: "It's step by step. I just want to play well for Warrington.
"I've got my England call-up and I just hope to play well on Friday and then get back to Warrington and carry on my performances."
