St Helens second-rower Willie Manu has been recalled to the Exiles squad to face England on Friday.

The Tongan international played in the 2011 victory over England under Brian McClennan and replaces Leeds forward Brett Delaney, who has been ruled out with a knee injury.

McClennan, back in charge for the 2013 clash at Warrington, has also called in Bradford hooker Heath L'Estrange to replace Warrington's Michael Monaghan, who has also pulled out due to a knee injury.

"I think it's easy to see that the depth of players available is getting stronger every year and that's exciting for England and I'm really pleased to see that the England team is heading in the right direction," said McClennan.

"They've had to leave out some very good players and that's always a good sign for any team.

"This game is a very important match for them as part of their preparation in what is the most important year of all, a World Cup year, and it's great for us to be involved in that process.

"We know we have a massive challenge on our hands but we're looking forward to it and I'm expecting it to be a very close and intense game."
