Denny Solomona will remain in Super League next season despite current club London Broncos being relegated after it was announced he will join Castleford on a two-year deal.

The 20-year-old - who has scored seven tries in 16 games in 2014 for the capital club - becomes the third new recruit for the Tigers, alongside Junior Moors and Ben Roberts.

"The way the club is run attracted me. Castleford have a good fan base, and they are regarded as the loudest in the competition by some, so it is good to get fans behind you when you play."

Solomona, a former team-mate of Moors at the Melbourne Storm, sought the advice of Luke Dorn, a former Bronco now plying his trade with Castleford, before committing to a move to the Mend-A-Hose Jungle.

“The move came about through Daryl Powell," he said. "He asked me what my plans were for next year, and thought it would be a good opportunity to bring me in alongside Junior Moors.

“I spoke to Luke Dorn and he said the club was run well, so that attracted me there too. Everyone is professional and does their job, which is what you want.”

Versatile

Castleford boss Daryl Powell is delighted with the signing of the versatile Solomona, someone who is capable of playing at full-back, in the centres or out wide,

“Denny has really impressed me this season in what has been a difficult year for the Broncos," he told the club's official website.

“His speed and strength alongside his ability to play in a number of back line positions will make him an invaluable member of our squad over the coming seasons.”

Solomona is not the first player from the Broncos, whose relegation from the Super League was made official with their 72-12 defeat to Warrington on Sunday, to find a new home in the top-flight for next year - prop Atelea Vea had already agreed to join St Helens on a two-year contract.
