Widnes are going to find it very tough against Hull FC this weekend.
Last week was all about the top of the league but this week it is all about the bottom as Widnes try to leapfrog London Broncos and move off the foot of Super League.
The Vikings are bottom of the league with 10 points but this season was always going to be a learning curve for them as they found it difficult to attract star players.
They are looking for some bigger and better players over the next couple of seasons. They have bought Kevin Brown from Huddersfield for next year but this season it is a matter of trying to avoid the wooden spoon.
Widnes have had their moments of glory and do have Jon Clarke back as well as Shaun Briscoe and Paddy Flynn, but they got hammered when they took on Hull at the KC Stadium. And I can't see them getting anything out of this match.
Hull are a strong side and will be boosted by their good win against Catalans last week.
The quality of players like Danny Tickle, Andy Lynch and Danny Houghton will be far too strong for Widnes.
Then there is Willie Manu, who is in superb form. He is absolutely killing it at the moment so he will be their main threat against Widnes.
Hull have had their injury problems but I think they will be too strong for Widnes here.
STEVO SAYS: If Widnes start well in the first 20 minutes and make Hull a bit nervous then they have a chance in front of their own crowd. But if you look at the line-ups of both sides you would have to back the black and whites of Hull for the win.
