Blake Green: Has signed a two-year contract with the Warriors

Wigan have confirmed the signing of Hull KR stand-off Blake Green on a two-year contract.

The Warriors paid a 'substantial' fee for the 25-year-old's services as he has two years remaining in his existing Robins deal.

Green, who joined KR from the Canterbury Bulldogs, won the club's Player of the Year in 2011, will replace the departing Brett Finch.

The former Parramatta man is delighted to be joining the League Leaders' Shield winners and is keen to help them build upon their recent success.

"I'm really excited to be given the opportunity to play for the Wigan Warriors," he told the club's official website.

Proud

"They are a great club with a proud history which I'm sure will only improve my game.

"I'm really excited to be given the opportunity to play for the Wigan Warriors."
Blake Green Quotes of the week

"I am looking forward to this new chapter in my playing career with Wigan and hope to play a key role over the next couple of seasons as the team look to build on recent successes."

Warriors coach Shaun Wane has been a long-term admirer of Green's ability and feels he will be a good signing.

"I am really excited to have Blake Green joining us," commented Wane.

"We have admired his style of play for some time at Wigan with his ability to attack the line, his kicking game and his strong defence.

"He will be a great addition to our squad and has all the qualities we need both as a player and a person."
