Hull KR stand-off Blake Green has been ruled out "until further notice" as he receives treatment for a blood clot in his leg.
The 25-year-old Australian could miss the start of the Super League season after his club revealed that he is undergoing treatment, with further medical checks planned for later in the week.
"Blake is receiving treatment for this condition in line with medical standards of best practice and further investigations will take place over the coming few days," a Hull KR statement said.
"Blake's health and well-being is our primary concern and, as a result, he will not be available for selection until further notice.
"Out of respect to the player, the club will be making no further comment on this matter."
Former Canterbury Bulldogs player Green made a big impact in his first season in Super League last year, missing just one of Rovers' 27 matches and scoring 12 tries.
