Keith Senior: Had been due to join Crusaders before Welsh club decided to pull out of Super League

Keith Senior could be set to re-launch his career with Hull KR after holding talks with the Super League club.

The 35-year-old was due to join Crusaders from 2011 but the move collapsed following the Wrexham club's decision to pull out of Super League.

Senior was offered a pay-as-you-play deal to stay on with the Leeds Rhinos having spent the past 13 seasons at Headingley.

However, the former England international, who is set to become the only player to figure in all 17 seasons of Super League, has held discussions with Robins coach Craig Sandercock over a possible move to Craven Park.

Potential offers

It is one of three potential offers on the table for the former Sheffield Eagles player should he fully recover from a cruciate knee injury.

"I have talked to Hull KR about a deal but we are at the early stages until we know more about my recovery and fitness," Senior told the Hull Daily Mail.

"My specialist says I should be back fully fit by March next year so I am hopeful that I will only miss the first four rounds of the season.

"I am recovering from a serious injury and I only want to play for a side if I am 100% fit and can give my all. I have done that for 18 years in the game at both Sheffield and Leeds.

"I have spoken to Craig at Hull KR and he has indicated that he would be willing to take a chance on me should I prove my fitness."
