Catalan Dragons back rower Louis Anderson has extended his stay in Perpignan after signing a one-year contract extension.
The former Warrington Wolves man’s deal had been due to expire at the end of the season, although he is now tied to the club throughout the 2015 campaign.
The former New Zealand international, who turned 29 last week, has expressed his delight at securing an extended stay at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium.
“I am very grateful to be staying another year in Catalan,” he told the club’s official website. I really enjoy being here and appreciate the faith the club has in me.
“The club is moving forward and I’m happy to be a part of it.”
Dragons head coach Laurent Frayssinous, who also secured an extended stay this week, is pleased Anderson will be part of his impressive squad next season.
“I’m really satisfied to keep Louis at the club for the next season,” said the French coach.
“He is an aggressive and powerful forward but a really skilful player. His values like rigor, discipline and hard work and his experience will be valuable in the squad.”
