Olivier Elima: Facing long ban
France captain Olivier Elima is facing a five-match ban after being charged by the Rugby Football League with dangerous play.
The Catalan Dragons forward was put on report by referee Ben Thaler after appearing to twist the legs of Hull hooker Aaron Heremaia during his side's 36-34 opening Super League defeat at the KC Stadium on Friday night.
Hull players reacted angrily to the tackle and Hull coach Lee Radford said afterwards: "If he's gone to roll his ankle, that's an act of cowardice."
Elima has been charged by the RFL's match-review panel with a grade D offence, which carries a ban of between three and five matches.
He will appear before the RFL's disciplinary committee in Leeds on Tuesday.
Hull KR prop Michael Weyman was charged with a grade C offence of dangerous contact on his Super League debut during Rovers' 34-6 home defeat by Leeds on Sunday and has until 11am on Tuesday to submit an early-guilty plea and avoid suspension.
