Leon Pryce and Louis Anderson are set to make their first appearances for Catalans Dragons in Saturday's Jerome Guisset testimonial match.

Former St Helens player Pryce has become the first Englishman to sign for the French club since they entered Super League back in 2006.

He will play stand-off in the game against Wakefield at Stade Gilbert Brutus, while fellow new recruit Anderson, who arrived from Warrington, has been named in the second row.

The Dragons are, however, without Jean-Philippe Baile, Damien Blanch and Steve Menzies for their first trial match before the 2012 campaign.

Training camp

Wakefield have spent the week in Perpignan, taking advantage of the Catalans' training facilities for their pre-season camp.

New coach Richard Agar is likely to play all 23 members of his travelling squad as he looks to blend in 16 of his 18 close-season acquisitions.

Newly-appointed captain Steve Southern has missed the trip to be with his heavily-pregnant wife, while Oliver Wilkes is at home after having his appendix removed.

"It's been a terrific trip so far," Agar said. "We've had three double sessions of training so we've got a lot done.

"We had a little break over Christmas and the weather last week wasn't great so it's been good for the players to get the sun on their backs and get through some quality work.

"Catalans have been most accommodating and, considering there have been two teams on the same site, we've not crossed paths or anything like that in terms of training. They've made it really easy for us so it's been so far, so good."
