Wigan half-back Sam Powell will miss their World Club Challenge game with Brisbane Broncos on Saturday after accepting a one-match ban.
Warriors coach Shaun Wane had been keen to fight a charge brought by the Rugby Football League's match review panel for Powell's "chicken-wing" tackle on Huddersfield prop Eorl Crabtree during Friday's 24-14 Super League win over the Giants.
Wane had planned to accompany Powell to a disciplinary hearing in Leeds but the player has instead submitted an early guilty plea to the Grade B offence.
Powell, who was sent to the sin bin for the dangerous tackle, was also forced to sit out Wigan's World Club Challenge clash with Sydney Roosters last year after he injured an ankle in training.
