Salford Red Devils hooker Logan Tomkins has confirmed he will be returning to Wigan Warriors for the 2015 Super League season.

With opportunities limited at the DW Stadium the 22-year-old has spent the campaign on loan with the Red Devils in order to sure regular first-team action.

Tomkins has a year remaining on his Warriors contract, although it had been suspected Salford owner Marwan Koukash could try and make the hooker’s stay a permanent one.

I am looking forward to returning to Wigan and playing alongside my brother Joel who went back there earlier this season from his time in ruby union.

However, Tomkins is looking forward to returning to Wigan at the end of the season and linking up with brother Joel, who is now back at the club following a stint with Saracens.

“There is a lot of quality at Salford and to have been playing regularly again has certainly done me good,” Tomkins told MEN Sport.

“I think the move has suited both parties. It has been a new experience for me and it’s been good. I will always appreciate being made to feel very welcome and part of the Salford set-up.

“Now I am looking forward to returning to Wigan and playing alongside my brother Joel who went back there earlier this season from his time in ruby union.

“I have a contract for next season and there is then an option for the following year. It should be good but I have welcomed this chance with Salford and am wanting us to finish the season strongly.”
