Wigan stand-off Blake Green will be out of action for up to three months after tearing his bicep in Saturday's 18-14 win over Leeds.
The Australian, who is out of contract this year, went off 16 minutes from the end of Saturday's game at the Etihad Stadium clutching his arm and will now see a specialist.
Coach Shaun Wane said: "He's torn his bicep. It's a two to three-month injury, though obviously we'll have a better idea down the track. It's a blow for Blake and for us, but we'll deal with it."
The 27-year-old former Hull KR playmaker was man of the match in Wigan's Grand-Final win over Warrington last October.
Green will miss the club's Tetley's Challenge Cup quarter-final against Castleford next month but will hope to be back for the semi-finals in August if the holders progress.
You can see how Wigan get on without the injured Green on Thursday when the Warriors make the short trip to Salford Red Devils live on Sky Sports 3HD from 7.30pm
