Wigan captain Sean O'Loughlin is feeling the pressure to deliver major silverware for a third successive season.

The Warriors ended a 12-year wait for Super League honours when they won the Grand Final in 2010 and won the Challenge Cup last term to end a nine-year drought.

And following the Challenge Cup semi-final defeat to Leeds in July, O'Loughlin knows he and his team-mates must up their game against Catalan Dragons on Friday if they are to sate the Wigan fans' desires for more success.

"We are probably expected to win things now."

"Winning one of each in the last couple of years has probably spoilt us a little bit," O'Loughlin said. "We are probably expected to win things now.

"We've got the league leaders' shield but the main focus is the Challenge Cup and Grand Final and not being at Wembley this year has put all the emphasis on the Grand Final so we want a big shot at it."

The Warriors have twice come out on top against the Dragons in Super League this season but O'Loughlin is bracing himself for another big test.

He said: "We've had two very physical games against them already this year. They've a big forward pack and, if you don't get control of them, you are kind of on the back foot for the majority of the game. We're well aware of how tough a game this could be."
