Wigan winger facing at least a month out with ligament injury

Wigan Warriors coach Shaun Wane believes winger Pat Richards' latest injury will keep him out for between four to six weeks. The former Man of Steel helped himself to 26 points in Sunday's 56-12 win over Hull FC before injuring his knee and leaving the field in the second half. The game marked Richards' return from injury and, following a scan, Wane expects the 30-year-old to now spend at least a month on the sidelines. "It is a shame to lose Pat, I thought he was terrific at Hull, he had a scan on Monday and he will go and see the surgeon (on Tuesday)," Wane told the club's official website. "He could be out for anything between four and six weeks." Wigan suffered no other injuries from the visit to the KC Stadium and Lee Mossop will be likely to return to the squad for their Challenge Cup tie on Friday at Featherstone after having a run out in the Warriors 20's last Saturday.
