Paul Anderson enjoyed a stellar first season in charge as, led by the superb Danny Brough, the Giants finished on top of the pile. In the play-offs, though, they lost to Wigan and Warrington to miss out on the Grand Final.

PHIL CLARKE PREDICTS: 6th

Can the team of last season win the award as team of this season? Their left-sided attack was awesome in 2013 when Brough and Brett Ferres combined with deadly effect. I think that they'll need some more new tricks or threats to win as many games this year. Jodie Broughton is a great addition. PLAYER to WATCH: Chris Bailey was possibly in the top 10 forwards in SL for the first half of last year. Injuries and circumstances meant that we didn't see the same player in the latter rounds of Super League XVIII. He's tough, disciplined, skilled and at a stage in his career when he's desperate to win something.
